August 13-15 Thursday-Saturday SPAH National Convention- Society For Preservation and Advancement of HARMONICA. www.spah.org The festival actually starts on Aug, 11, and all the details are on the web site. It is held at Crown Plaza DIA . I’ll be helping with some jam sessions with my good friend, Susan Dailey. I am doing a guest spot in the Cara Cook Band on Friday night. Cara is a great bluegrass harmonica player from Texas. This festival moves around the country, and it is a great honor to have it here this year!.

August 15 Saturday Colorado Railroad Musem. Colorado Cowboy Gathering partners with the museum to bring western music to the park for Wild West Month. My musical pal, Rex Rideout and I be playing music from High Noon to 4 p.m. We’ll perform individually and together. www.ColoradoRailroadMuseum.org Should be a fun day!

Colorado Cowboy Poetry Gathering 2014

The 25th annual Colorado Cowboy Poetry Gathering  will be held at 2 locations in Golden,Thur. Jan. 16 through Sun. Jan 19, 2014. Opening night with Baxter Black and Saturday Night with Riders in the Sky at the Green Center at the Colorado School of Mines . Friday and Saturday events will take place at  at the American Mountaineering Center, 710 10th St., in Golden. Check the official website to see where your favorite entertainers will be playing. If you love cowboy poetry or Western music, this is the place to be Jan 16-19!
