Soft Green is inspired by nature and how it is a participant in creating dappled light. I used a few of my favorite Florida native plants like Evergreen Magnolia, Spanish Moss, Resurrecting Ferns, and Air Plants. Using the free motion foot on the sewing machine I was able to layer linework to texture my chiffon. To get a soft natural color on the chiffon I used watercolor paint. From there I assembled the pieces with laser-cut leaves, cellophane Air Plants, string Spanish Moss, and crochet chains.
